Open the Camera app, point it at the code, and tap the banner. That is the whole first step.

Three steps, then your backlog

01

Add the source

Scan the code or open the download link to reach the PlaydSource repository, then add the Playd source in SideStore.

02

Install Playd

Tap Get next to Playd in SideStore to install the build.

03

Import your games

Import a CSV from your current tracker, or add the first game by hand.

SideStore release: Tapping the download button or scanning the QR code opens the PlaydSource repository on GitHub, where the source address lives.

Playd for Windows

The same library as the phone, plus the things a phone cannot do. Launch games already on the PC, and control that PC from the phone. Playtime and achievements come with it.

Download Playd.exe

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No Python install. Open the file and the desktop window is Playd: Discover, Installed games, your library, and Remote.

01

Download Playd.exe

The button downloads Playd.exe from the current release. That release also publishes the SHA-256.

02

Open it

Windows SmartScreen may warn, because the build is unsigned. The app opens its own window. Closing that window leaves playtime detection running until you quit from the tray.

03

Scan the PC, or turn on Remote

Scan PC finds games Steam, Epic, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, EA, and Xbox already installed, and Launch starts them. Remote shows a six-digit code. Enter it on the phone once. Wake, the screen, and the touchpad need that PC on the same Wi-Fi. Away from home, sign in to the same Playd account on both, and leave Playd open.

Unsigned build: SmartScreen can block the first open. The release carries the SHA-256 beside Playd.exe. Achievement banners depend on the game writing a supported emulator file. FLT and undocumented formats are not read. Install rows open a web page. Playd does not download the game.

If the install gives you trouble

The source will not add in SideStore
SideStore must be installed on your iOS device first. You can also add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LeoMarlowe/PlaydSource/main/apps.json manually under SideStore Sources.
The PC tracking cannot find my PC
Give Playd local-network permission when iOS asks (Settings, Playd, Local Network). Playd on the PC advertises itself over Bonjour. If the router blocks that, enter the PC’s local IP address on the sync screen.
The phone cannot control the PC
On the PC, open Remote and turn it on. The six-digit code on that screen is what the phone asks for the first time. Both devices need the same Wi-Fi for the live screen, the touchpad, and wake. Windows Firewall has to allow Playd on the local network. Away from home, sign in to the same Playd account on both, leave Playd open, and leave Remote on. Wake still only works on the home Wi-Fi.
Can I move my library to a new phone?
Yes. Restore from the Google Drive backup or import your CSV on the new device. Games match by title and update in place.
What happens if I delete the app?
The library lives in the app’s storage, so deleting the app removes it. A Google Drive backup or a CSV export keeps a copy.

After this, it’s just your backlog.

Install Playd, import what you have, and the next game you start gets tracked on its own.
